Dottorato di Ricerca in Neuroscienze e Imaging

 

Purpose

High quality, third level education of researchers in the field of the neurosciences, in the field of imaging with particular reference to functional imaging; of high profile professional figures in the field of diagnostic imaging; of high profile professional figures in the field of research and development of instrumentation for diagnostic imaging.

Obiettivi

Formazione di terzo livello di alta qualità: di ricercatori nell'ambito delle neuroscienze, dell'imaging con particolare riguardo al neuroimaging funzionale; di figure professionali di alto profilo nell'ambito della diagnostica per immagini; di figure professionali di alto profilo nell'ambito della ricerca e sviluppo di strumentazione per la diagnostica per immagini.

PhD Program General Topics

Methods and models for the analysis of biomedical images. Computational models for the neurosciences. Physical principles and technology for the development of innovative instrumentation for biomedical imaging. Study of genomic, trascriptomic, epigenomic, and interactomic approaches and their application in the functional characterisation of the neuronal connectome in normal and pathological conditions. Practical protocols integrating neurologic and psychiatric disciplines and diagnostic imaging for the study of pathologies of the Central Nervous System. Study of the nature and of the architecture of the sensory, cognitive, and behavioural functions through the integration of experimental psychology and neuroimaging methods.

Argomenti generali del Dottorato

Metodi e modelli per l'analisi di immagini biomediche; Modelli computazionali per le neuroscienze; Principi fisici e tecnologia per lo sviluppo di strumentazione innovativa per l'imaging biomedico. Studio degli approcci di genomica, trascrittomica, epigenomica e interattomica e loro applicazioni nella caratterizzazione funzionale del connettoma neuronale in condizioni normali e patologiche. Protocolli applicativi integranti le discipline neurologiche, psichiatriche e dell'imaging diagnostico, per lo studio delle patologie del Sistema Nervoso Centrale. Studio della natura e dell'architettura delle funzioni sensoriali, cognitive e comportamentali attraverso l'integrazione dei metodi della psicologia sperimentale e del neuroimaging
